This was actually originally made this as a 1:20th full size oil drum for my scale model boat, but found it was also in scale with my truck, only at 1:10 scale it was more of oil can than a drum.

      The basic drum was turned from a solid piece of resin, adding the necessary detail as I went, then a full mould was made so this could be stood on any side and was complete. I do hate parts like this that have a huge hole in the bottom, meaning it could only go up one way, so this was something I wanted to avoid to allow people to place it anywhere.
     I then made a small handle to go on the top to turn it from a oil drum to more of a hand held can, then painted and placed a Castrol sticker on the side, and added a bit of clear yellow paint to looking like oil had run down the side.
     I prefer the old or used look where possible, as finds it just adds to the detail nicely.
